Indian River Citrus League Introduces New Web Site
The Indian River Citrus League is proud to introduce our new web site. Our web site was designed by Steven Rogers, a Florida citrus grower and Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Photoshop. The visual design, color and typography on our site was especially chosen to reflect Florida citrus using an artistically tasteful and professional theme. On-going updates to the site are provided by Karen Smith at the Indian River Citrus League. Our web site is enabled for mobile devices and may be easily accessed from your PDA or cell phone Internet browsers. We hope you enjoy browsing our new web site and we welcome suggestions for improving it and making it easier to use.
Important News
The University of Florida Southwest Florida Research and Education Center recently opened its new greening testing laboratory. This lab provides free testing services for citrus growers interested in detecting greening in their plantings.
The USDA recently informed the Indian River Citrus League that one of its sponsored projects, the Ag Certification Network, was recently recommended for approval. This represents a $250,000 funded grant to continue research related to mapping fruit flies, canker and greening in the Indian River Citrus District.
